Keats Myer holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from NYU’s Wagner School of Public Service and brings 30 years of experience in nonprofit management. Myer has overseen the creation of two Museums in New York: The Children’s Museum of the Arts and The National Track & Field Hall of Fame. This included the conceptualization, strategic planning, design, capital and operational fundraising, construction, opening, and programming of these midsize institutions. Myer spent ten years as the Executive Director of the Madison Square Park Conservancy, the organization licensed by the City of New York to fully fund, operate, and manage this vital public space, hosting over 60,000 people daily. Under her leadership, Myer developed and implemented a strategic plan that focused on securing the long term success and health of the park as a community resource. Her reorganization of the staff and cultivation of critical support among government, Board, and community led to widespread recognition of Madison Square Park as a leader of civic engagement. Myer’s strengths include facility planning & management, building strong teams, and empowering staff and boards to solve institutional challenges as a team. Myer is proud of the many careers launched under her leadership and loves the process of budgeting, strategic planning, Board development and management, staff management, and executive coaching.
